There’s no need to cancel your service—you can transfer your service to your new address.

How do I transfer AT&T Internet service?
To initiate AT&T internet moving, start by logging in to your account, fill out your move date and new address, as well as your preferred installation date. Expect an email confirmation within 24 hours.
How do I transfer Home Phone service?
Transferring Home Phone service is easy. Just login to your account, fill out your move date and new address, as well as your preferred installation date. You’ll get a confirmation email within 24 hours.
What if I’m moving to an apartment or condo?
Before getting your service installed and activated in an apartment or condo, you need to fill out the Landlord Approval Form.
Can I make changes to my AT&T services when I move?
Definitely! If you’re a DIRECTV customer, just call 866-878-6332 to upgrade or change your service. If you’re looking to make changes to your DIRECTV STREAM, internet, or home phone, just make the change when you place your move order online.
How much do I have to pay to transfer service?
There generally isn't any charge for the installation of your services. If you are an existing DIRECTV or AT&T Internet customer and moving, professional standard installation is included at no charge. If you are connecting more than three TV receivers or your home isn't wired for internet, then there may be additional charges. Call your installer to find out.
Should I take my equipment with me when I move?
DIRECTV dishes remain installed at your old address, but everything else (remotes, receivers, your owner’s manual and the Wi-Fi Gateway) should come with you.
How long does it usually take to transfer service?
Transferring service only takes about 10 minutes. Just log into your account, follow the instructions, and you'll receive an email within 24 hours confirming your new AT&T services and installation date.
Do I need to have someone come and install the transferred service?
Technicians are required to transfer DIRECTV service. You have the option to install DIRECTV STREAM, internet and phone service yourself.
What happens to my DVR recordings when I move?
As soon as your transferred service is connected to your old DVR, your recordings will be available.
What if AT&T Internet is no longer available at my new address?
